EverBuild Fix And Fill Expanding Foam 750ml

EverBuild Fix And Fill Expanding Foam 750ml is a quick-setting, one-part polyurethane foam developed for filling, fixing and insulating gaps throughout a building. Supplied with an attachable handheld nozzle, it can be applied directly from the can without requiring a separate professional foam gun.

The foam expands after application to occupy broad, deep and irregular spaces that conventional solid fillers may struggle to reach. It is suitable for filling gaps around windows, doors, pipes and other construction details while also providing useful thermal-insulating and sound-deadening properties.

A 750ml can can produce up to approximately 45 litres of expanded foam under suitable conditions, making it an economical option for general building, installation and maintenance work. Once cured, the product can be cut, sawn, sanded or plastered over to create a neat finished surface.

Convenient Handheld Expanding Foam

The included nozzle allows Fix & Fill to be applied without purchasing or preparing a separate applicator gun. This makes it a practical choice for individual projects, occasional repairs and jobs where a complete can is likely to be used during one working session.

The applicator tube can direct foam into narrow gaps and awkward spaces. The user controls the output through the can’s valve, applying the foam in short, manageable amounts. Because the product expands after dispensing, the cavity should only be partially filled.

For frequent professional use or work requiring particularly precise bead control, a dedicated gun-grade expanding foam may be more suitable. Fix & Fill is designed to provide a straightforward handheld alternative for common filling and insulation jobs.

Filling Gaps and Cavities

EverBuild Fix And Fill can be used to fill a wide range of openings and cavities, including:

  • Gaps around window frames
  • Spaces around internal and external door frames
  • Openings around pipes passing through walls
  • Electrical wire chases before plastering
  • Deep joints before applying plaster or sealant
  • Irregular gaps in brick and blockwork
  • Voids in stone, concrete and plaster
  • Hard-to-reach spaces between building materials

The foam expands up to approximately 150% of its applied volume, helping it conform to uneven surfaces and fill the available space. Avoid completely filling the cavity with wet foam because additional expansion may cause excessive waste or pressure against nearby components.

Fixing Building Components

The foam can assist with the installation of suitable door frames, window frames, windowsills, thresholds and lightweight timber structures. It fills the surrounding space and helps hold components in position once cured.

Door and window frames must remain correctly aligned, supported and braced until the foam is fully cured. Expanding foam should not be used as a replacement for required structural or mechanical fixings. Permanent screws, anchors or brackets must be installed wherever required by the component manufacturer, building regulations or project specification.

Thermal and Acoustic Insulation

Once cured, the foam’s medium-fine cell structure helps restrict heat transfer and reduce the movement of sound through gaps. It can be used behind external wall cladding, soffits and bargeboards, as well as around frames and service penetrations.

For the best insulating performance, apply the foam continuously so that open gaps and hidden voids are minimised. Large cavities may need to be filled in stages, allowing each section sufficient moisture and time to cure.

Fix & Fill can help improve the insulation around an installation, but it should not be treated as a replacement for a properly designed wall, roof or acoustic-insulation system.

Fast Setting and Easy to Finish

Under suitable conditions, EverBuild Fix And Fill becomes tack-free in approximately seven minutes. A 10mm bead can generally be cut after around 30 to 45 minutes, while the manufacturer advises that the foam can be cut, sawn or plastered over after approximately one hour.

Actual drying time will vary depending on the depth and width of the application, temperature, humidity and the amount of moisture available. Large, deep fills will take longer to cure than a narrow bead. Do not assume that the centre has cured simply because the exposed surface feels firm.

After curing, excess foam can be trimmed using a suitable knife or saw. The surface can then be sanded or plastered over where required. Exterior applications should be protected from ultraviolet light with an appropriate paint, sealant, plaster, trim or other compatible covering.

Surface Preparation

All surfaces should be clean, sound and free from dust, oil, grease and loose material. Remove any weak particles that could prevent the foam from making direct contact with the substrate. Protect adjacent floors, walls, frames and decorative finishes before beginning work.

Lightly moisten the surfaces using clean water. Polyurethane expanding foam cures in response to atmospheric and surface moisture, so gentle dampening can assist curing and improve the finished cell structure. Do not leave standing water in the gap.

How to Apply EverBuild Fix And Fill

  1. Read the current label and safety information before starting.
  2. Wear protective gloves, eye protection and suitable work clothing.
  3. Ensure the application area has adequate ventilation.
  4. Clean the gap and remove dust, dirt and loose material.
  5. Lightly moisten the surfaces with clean water.
  6. Shake the can vigorously approximately 20 times.
  7. Carefully attach the supplied applicator nozzle.
  8. Hold and operate the can upside down.
  9. Apply the foam in short, controlled amounts.
  10. Only partially fill the cavity to allow room for expansion.
  11. Allow the product to cure before trimming or covering it.
  12. Clean the nozzle and valve immediately if the can will be reused.

When filling an especially deep cavity, apply the product in appropriate layers. Lightly misting between layers can assist the curing process. Avoid applying an excessively large mass in one operation, as the centre may cure very slowly.

Yield and Temperature Resistance

The 750ml can provides a yield of approximately 30 to 45 litres, depending on the application conditions. Temperature, humidity, applicator technique and cavity dimensions can all affect the quantity of finished foam produced.

The cured foam has a stated long-term service-temperature range of approximately -40°C to +80°C. The recommended application temperature is between +5°C and +30°C, with approximately +20°C considered ideal.

Cold conditions can reduce output and extend curing time. Never attempt to warm the pressurised can using a flame, heater, boiling water or another direct heat source.

Cleaning Uncured Foam

Any accidental spills should be cleaned while the foam remains wet using Everbuild Dual Purpose Foam Cleaner. Once cured, polyurethane foam can only be removed mechanically. Protect finished surfaces, clothing and surrounding materials before use because cured foam can be extremely difficult to remove without causing damage.

If the can is being saved for another job, clean the nozzle and valve tip before the product cures. Never insert tools into the valve or attempt to clear it by force.

Important Fire Classification

EverBuild Fix And Fill Expanding Foam has a B3 reaction-to-fire classification under DIN 4102-1. It is not a fire-rated foam and must not be used where a tested fire-stopping system is required.

For fire-rated walls, floors, joints or service penetrations, select a suitable tested fire foam and install it in accordance with the specified system. Standard Fix & Fill should not be used to claim or restore a fire-resistance rating.

Safety and Storage

This product is supplied in a pressurised aerosol and contains a flammable polyurethane formulation. Keep it away from heat, sparks, flames, hot surfaces and other ignition sources. Do not smoke while using the product.

Store the can upright between approximately +5°C and +25°C, protected from direct sunlight. Do not expose it to temperatures above 50°C, and never pierce or burn the container, even when empty. Keep the product out of the reach of children.

Versatile Foam for Everyday Building Work

EverBuild Fix And Fill Expanding Foam 750ml provides a convenient solution for filling, fixing and insulating without a separate applicator gun. Its high yield, quick setting and ability to fill uneven cavities make it ideal for use around frames, pipes, service entries and many other building details. Once cured, it can be trimmed and covered to produce a clean, professional finish.
