C-Tec Superfast Plus 50ml

C-Tec Superfast Plus 50ml is a powerful, professional-grade cyanoacrylate adhesive designed to produce exceptionally strong bonds in seconds. Its rapid-action formula makes it an excellent choice for tradespeople, maintenance professionals, engineers, fabricators, installers and DIY users who need a dependable adhesive for fast repairs and assembly work. Supplied in a larger 50ml bottle, it is particularly suitable for workshops and users who regularly complete bonding tasks.

This one-component adhesive requires no mixing, heating or soldering. Simply prepare the surfaces, apply a small quantity and bring the components together. The adhesive begins forming its bond rapidly, reducing the amount of time that parts need to be held or supported. This makes C-Tec Superfast Plus especially convenient for small components, close-fitting joints and applications where conventional adhesives could take too long to develop their initial strength.

Exceptional Bonding Strength

Superfast Plus is formulated primarily from ethyl cyanoacrylate and provides very high tensile strength when applied to suitable materials. In many cases, its bonding action can effectively fuse the base materials together, producing a strong and durable connection. Performance will depend on factors including material compatibility, surface preparation, joint design and the conditions in which the finished repair is used.

The adhesive is colourless, helping it create clean and discreet joints. This is particularly beneficial when repairing visible items or bonding components where a heavily coloured adhesive line could affect the finished appearance. Only a small amount is normally necessary, allowing the 50ml bottle to complete numerous carefully controlled applications.

Suitable Materials

C-Tec Superfast Plus is compatible with an extensive range of non-porous materials. These include aluminium, stainless steel, steel, chrome, bronze, glass, porcelain, natural rubber, nitrile rubber, neoprene, nylon, polycarbonate, polystyrene, hard PVC and many other rigid plastics and synthetic materials.

Its broad compatibility makes it suitable for numerous repair, maintenance and assembly applications. Typical uses can include attaching trims, repairing broken fittings, joining rubber seals, bonding small metal components, model making, workshop maintenance and repairing compatible household items. It can also be used in building, manufacturing, automotive and engineering environments when the intended materials and joint design are suitable.

For porous or absorbent materials such as wood, leather and stone, use C-Tec Superfast Plus Activator where directed. The activator is designed to prepare porous surfaces and encourage a faster, more effective bond. Always read and follow the instructions supplied with both products before using the adhesive and activator together.

Resistance to Demanding Conditions

Once cured, C-Tec Superfast Plus offers resistance to many oils, solvents, benzene, atmospheric conditions and changes in temperature. The adhesive can withstand temperatures from approximately -30°C to +100°C, making it suitable for a wide variety of indoor and outdoor repair situations.

Although the cured adhesive provides strong resistance, the performance of the completed joint will also depend on the bonded materials and the environment. Cyanoacrylate adhesives are generally best suited to small, closely fitting components. They should not be treated as substitutes for flexible construction adhesives where a joint will experience significant movement, repeated impact or continuous vibration.

Preparing the Surfaces

Good preparation is essential for producing a reliable bond. Both surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, oil, grease, paint flakes and other contamination. Use a suitable cleaning or degreasing method for the materials being joined and allow the surfaces to dry fully before applying the adhesive.

On appropriate materials, lightly abrading an extremely smooth surface may increase the available bonding area. Remove all resulting dust before continuing. Any preparation method should first be tested on a hidden area to ensure it does not scratch, discolour or otherwise damage the material.

Complete a dry fit before opening the bottle. Check that the components meet closely and establish exactly how they need to be positioned. Because Superfast Plus begins bonding within seconds, there may be very little time to correct the alignment once the surfaces have been brought together.

How to Apply C-Tec Superfast Plus 50ml

  1. Check that the materials are compatible with cyanoacrylate adhesive.
  2. Ensure both surfaces are clean, dry and closely fitting.
  3. Protect the surrounding area against accidental drips or spills.
  4. Carefully apply a small amount of adhesive to one surface.
  5. Bring the components together immediately and position them accurately.
  6. Hold the joint firmly for the period stated in the manufacturer’s instructions.
  7. Allow sufficient curing time before placing the repair under load.
  8. Wipe the nozzle carefully and replace the cap securely after use.

Apply the adhesive sparingly. A thin and controlled layer normally produces better results than excessive application. Too much adhesive can spread outside the joint, leave unwanted residue and potentially delay the bonding process. Never force a blocked nozzle, and do not point the bottle towards your face while opening or clearing it.

Compatibility and Limitations

C-Tec Superfast Plus is not suitable for polyethylene, polypropylene or fluorine-containing plastics. These materials have low-energy surfaces that are difficult for conventional cyanoacrylate products to bond. Certain plastics can also become marked, brittle or discoloured, so always complete a small compatibility test before starting the main application.

The adhesive is intended for close-fitting joints rather than filling large gaps. It should not be used as a flexible sealant or as the sole fixing for safety-critical, load-bearing or structural components unless the application has been specifically approved by the manufacturer. It is also unsuitable for medical use, structural glazing or areas involving direct food contact without appropriate confirmation.

Safe Handling and Storage

Cyanoacrylate adhesive bonds skin and eyes in seconds. Keep C-Tec Superfast Plus out of the reach of children and avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Use the product in a well-ventilated area, avoid breathing vapours and wear suitable gloves and eye protection as directed by the current product label and safety data sheet.

Keep the bottle tightly closed and store it upright in a cool, dry and well-ventilated location away from heat and incompatible materials. If accidental contact occurs, follow the manufacturer’s first-aid guidance and seek medical assistance where appropriate. Never attempt to pull bonded skin apart by force.

A Practical Choice for Frequent Bonding

C-Tec Superfast Plus 50ml combines rapid application, extremely strong adhesion and compatibility with a wide selection of materials. The larger bottle provides an economical option for professionals, busy workshops and regular users while remaining easy to store and apply. Whether it is being used for repairs, maintenance or accurate assembly work, Superfast Plus offers a quick and dependable solution without requiring mixing, heating or specialist application equipment.
