The Woodside Mixture brick from Forterra is a precision-engineered, wire-cut facing brick that brings a lively, multitone warmth to any elevation. Each unit measures the UK standard 215 × 102.5 × 65 mm and is lightly textured to catch the light, showcasing a blend of rich reds and terracotta highlights. Vertical perforations (15–25 % voids) reduce its dry weight to around 2.5 kg, ease handling on site, enhance thermal efficiency in the wall and create an excellent mechanical key for mortar—speeding up laying rates and ensuring consistently strong, neat joints.
Manufactured to BS EN 771-1 standards, it meets Category II, U clay masonry criteria with tight tolerances (T2/R1), a minimum compressive strength of 75 N/mm², water absorption under 7 % and an F2 durability rating. Supplied in packs of 504 straight from the Accrington works, the Woodside Mixture brick combines dependable performance—including low soluble salts and full frost resistance—with a richly variegated, handcrafted appearance that will mature gracefully over time.
