The Bracken Brown Rustic brick is a premium wire-cut facing unit measuring 215 × 102.5 × 65 mm, ideal for external walls, façades and feature masonry. Fired from dense clay at Ibstock’s Ravenhead works, its rich brown body carries a subtle drag-faced texture—fine, linear striations that cast soft shadows and lend every elevation a handcrafted, time-worn character.
Each perforated brick weighs around 2.3 kg and features vertical cores (15–25 % voids) that reduce handling weight, enhance thermal efficiency and provide an exceptional mechanical key for mortar. Precision extrusion and wire-cutting deliver razor-sharp edges and tight tolerances (T2/R1), ensuring consistently neat mortar joints and minimal on-site cutting.
Engineered for the rigours of exposed UK climates, Bracken Brown Rustic achieves a compressive strength up to 60 N/mm², low water absorption (around 9 %) and an F2 frost-resistance rating, backed by an S2 soluble-salts classification. Supplied in bulk packs of approximately 400–500 units, this versatile facing brick marries robust performance with a richly variegated, earthy hue that will mature gracefully over time.
